That's all from me

Thank you for joining me tonight, I look forward to the second leg!

But for now, that's all from me, see you next time!

Closing thoughts

Whew! It's over! We can breathe again...

Bayern played really well, but it wasn't enough to overturn an early 2-0 deficit, with PSG claiming the winner midway through the second half.

Mbappe was excellently clinical today, and Neymar played very well, but Keylor Navas is my man of the match today, despite conceding two.

If it weren't for the Costa Rican, PSG would not have won this match.

Let me know who your MOTM was tonight over on the twitter page!

FULL-TIME - Bayern Munich 2 - 3 Paris Saint-Germain

PSG take the first leg!

Two goals from Mbappe and a goal from Marquinhos gives PSG three vital away goals, with Choupo-Moting and Muller's efforts not enough to haul the Bavarians back level.

What a frantic game this turned out to be...

2-0, then 2-2, and finally 3-2. PSG may not have been the better team on the day, but their counter attacks and clinical finishing gives them the tools they need to overcome the holders!

Neymar is off

Rafinha comes on in his place.

Huge penalty shout!

89' Muller's cutback is blocked by Herrera's legs, then his arms, but the referee signals for a corner, despite Muller's protests.

So close from Alaba...

86' Sane does well on the wing to get a ball into the box, and it finds Choupo-Moting, who offloads to Alaba, but his shot scrapes the post on its way out of play.

The records fall again

Following that goal, Kylian Mbappe is now the 2nd highest French goalscorer in UCL knockout history, overtaking Thierry Henry with his 13th knockout goal.

He's 22. This kid...

Around the grounds...

Still 3-2 here at the Allianz Arena with just 10 minutes to go, but Chelsea have extended their lead in Portugal through Ben Chilwell.

Porto have badgered Chelsea tonight, but it looks like they won't get any reward for their efforts, at least not in this first leg.

On a knife edge

75' PSG lead, but this really has the feel of a game that could finish with any result.

There's not long to go, but I wouldn't bet against another turnaround, nor would I suggest PSG couldn't score more.

Great game!

Ouch...

Boateng gets a yellow as he brings Neymar down.

Di Maria off

Another injury, another sub, as Moise Kean comes on for the Argentinian winger.

Almost an immediate response!

70' Bayern come straight back at PSG, and Coman charges into the box, before being brought down.

Penalty is waved away, and Choupo-Moting tries an audacious back heel that is quickly blocked.

MBAPPE GETS HIS MOMENT!

68' Kylian Mbappe pounces on the Bayern defence, and fires the ball in at the near post past a helpless Neuer.

That was brilliant from the striker, and this game takes yet another turn!

3-2 PSG!

MULLER WITH THE BICYCLE KICK!!!

But it's tame. And wide. Looked pretty cool, though.

But it doesn't stay that way for long!

60' It's a goal for Thomas Muller!

Kimmich puts in a sublime ball from a free kick, and Muller finishes it off beautifully to make it 2-2!

Great turnaround from the Bavarians, and you wouldn't bet against them winning form here.

Mbappe's blushes spared by the flag

58' Mbappe seems to be left unmarked by the Bayern defence and is let loose in behind, one-on-one against Manuel Neuer...

The German miraculously saves, but the flag is up - Mbappe was offside anyway.

PSG just playing on the break right now, the Bayern pressure is immense, but the score remains the same - 2-1.

Great play from Bayern...

But there's no second goal forthcoming.

Sane and Alaba link up on the right hand side, but the ball into the box doesn't find anyone, and it's eventually cleared by the PSG defence.

Close from Neymar!

52' Sane gets robbed by Mbappe, whose deflected ball finds Neymar, but his shot is straight at Neuer, and Di Maria's rebound shot can't find a way through either.

Could turn out to be a big moment, here.

Good play from Coman

50' Coman does well down the left hand side, going on a promising run, but has to settle for a corner.

Nothing comes from it though, and PSG can rebuild.

Second half underway

Mitchel Bakker comes on for Abdou Diallo as the action is restarted for the second 45.

That's 2 subs from both teams now, and we're only 45 minutes in!

It's been a strange but exciting game, let's hope for more in the second half!

Threats for both

Both teams have played well in patches, will indeed be a very interesting second half.

Ben's take on the first half

Got to agree. Bayern have done everything this half, but just haven't put it in the back of the net often enough.

Looking forward to the second half. Should City make it through, I'd love to see the matchup with either of these - should be entertaining!

Elsewhere...

Chelsea are leading Porto 1-0 thanks to a Mason Mount goal in the 32nd minute - they seem to be in control in Portugal, but knowing Porto, anything could happen.

Half Time: Bayern 1 - 2 PSG

It's half time at the Allianz Arena, and it's been an action-packed first 45 minutes here!

Mbappe gave the Parisiens an early lead, and despite some strong pressure from Bayern following the goal, it was PSG who struck again through captain Marquinhos.

Choupo-Moting pulled one back for Bayern before the break, but injuries and substitutions have marred the first half.

Thoughts on this first half? It's been back and forth action, and it certainly isn't over.

Let me know on Twitter!

Kimpembe nearly makes it drastic

45+1' Kimpembe places a poor backpass to his keeper, which Navas can't keep in.

From the resulting corner, Muller rises for it, but his header is a tame one and is easily caught by Keylor Navas.

Another sub?

42' Unclear whether this is for tactical or injury reasons, but Jerome Boateng comes on Niklas Sule.

This is getting strange now...

GOAL FOR BAYERN

37' Choupo-Moting scores for Bayern!

Against his old club, the Cameroon international gives his new team a much needed goal.

2-1, game on!

Yellow for Hernandez

35' Lucas Hernandez brings Dagba down on the flank and goes into the ref's book.

Sub for Bayern

33' Alphonso Davies is on for Leon Goretzka.

Two early subs here.

Sub for PSG

30' Goalscorer Marquinhos goes off with a groin injury

Ander Herrera replaces him.

GOAL

27' Marquinhos scores for PSG!

It's been all Bayern in the last few minutes, but PSG catch them out and they're two ahead on the night, now.

Brilliant from Navas

19' A great ball into the box lands at the feet of Goretzka, but the PSG keeper spreads himself wide and makes an important stop just before the twenty minute mark.

Been a great game so far, more of the same, please!

Muller miss!

9' Thomas Muller latches onto a deflected strike from Goretzka, but he can only shoot straight down the throat of Navas in goal.

Still 1-0 to PSG.

GOAL!!

3' Kylian Mbappe gets PSG off to the perfect start!

Neymar charges through the Bayern defence before offloading to the Frenchman, who hammered a strike straight at Neuer.

The German shotstopper can't deal with it though, and it travels straight through him into the bottom-right corner.

1-0 PSG!

Kickoff

1' We're underway at the Allianz Arena.

Key battles tonight

There's going to be a lot of big clashes on the pitch tonight that could decide the outcome of this tie.

Can Marquinhos shut down Thomas Muller's creativity?

Will Bayern's backline hold back the terrifying front line of Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria?

Will Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman wreak havoc on the wings for Bayern?

We'll wait and see... just twenty minutes to go!

Hernandez ahead of Davies?

Bayern have gone with the Frenchman at left-back over everyone's favourite Canadian footballer, what are the thoughts on this?

More defensive solidity, perhaps? Is this Bayern being fearful of the opposition, or has Davies just not performed as expected recently?

Lots of UCL action ahead

I'll do my best to keep up with the Chelsea game as well, looking forward to 8 o'clock!

The lineups are in!

Neymar does indeed start for PSG.

No Lewandowski of course for Bayern Munich, who start with Choupo-Moting up front.

Just an hour until kick off!

PSG better without Neymar?

This is an interesting debate, actually. Following the Brazilian's sending off at the weekend, is there an argument to be had over whether Neymar is actually in PSG's best XI anymore?

Argue over on twitter.

The Editor has his say

The main man, Sam MB, has weighed in on tonight's game.

Completely agree with this - No Lewandowski plus Neymar's back means PSG could definitely nick this one!

Keep your reactions coming in... 1 and a half hours till kick off!

Predictions?

There's about three and a half hours until kick off, so what is everyone feeling ahead of the game?

I rather boldly declared PSG would win this one in a podcast a few weeks ago. You should definitely give that a listen if you haven't already, by the way:

Hi, Luke! Thanks for getting involved.

In answer to your questions:

1. Honestly, it's a shocking decision. Obviously City can feel very lucky that they escaped last night with a win intact, and Dortmund by contrast will feel very hard done by. A goal all day long in my opinion and it's hard to see any argument otherwise...

2. This feels like a slightly loaded question! From a Nottingham standpoint I have to back the Panthers, but Coventry Blaze have done excellently so far - they've certainly exceeded my expectations, perhaps I underestimated them!
